COMPLAINTS AGAINST REGISTERED PERSON /
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY PRACTICE

The Board of Engineers of Malaysia (BEM) is very concerned and takes a serious view regarding the conduct and ethics of the Registered Persons / Engineering Consultancy Practice.
Contractual disputes are outside the jurisdiction of the BEM and shall be resolved based on the terms of agreement between the parties involved.
Complaints involving local authorities should be reported directly to the relevant local authorities concern for further action.
Action will be taken under Section 15 / Section 7(A)(5) & (6) of the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (the Act), if it is proven that the Registered Person / Engineering Consulting Practice is in breach of the Act, the Registration of Engineers Regulations 1990 and its amendments.
The Complainant must provide complete information to enable action to be taken. This information will need to be submitted by BEM to the Registered Person / Engineering Consulting Practice who are being complained for explanation / further action.
